Over the past years, LifeWise has built a significant market presence within Australia and expanded their reach to Japan and Hong Kong. As their business has grown, their production has doubled every year, leading to increased waste volumes.

Manual handling of up to 60 wool bales a week

Previously, LifeWise managed their waste manually, placing plastics and cardboard into wool bales by hand. This labor-intensive process involved squashing the materials manually and moving the bales outside for collection by truck every other week. At times, they handled up to 60 wool bales in a single week, creating a cluttered and chaotic work environment. Aisles were often blocked, and the dispatch area was congested with bales, making operations cumbersome and inefficient.

Compacting power: One bale from baler equals volume of 30 wool bales!

Remarkably, one bale produced by the baler equates to the volume of 30 wool bales, making both plastic and cardboard waste much easier to manage. The bales can now be stacked neatly outside, freeing up valuable space inside the facility.

Another impressive example of the baler’s efficiency was when LifeWise compacted 107 big bags into a single bale. The space-saving impact of this process is astounding, highlighting the baler’s capability to handle large volumes of waste effectively.
